Town Founders
Stephen Davis and Bob Turner have worked
together for over ten years in a variety of roles for other development companies
throughout Beaufort County. Bob Turner worked as the development manager
for the nearby Spring and Callawassie Islands. In 1992, he went out on
his own as a managing partner with the Newpoint Company Inc. Being featured
in such publications as "Coastal
Living", "Southern Living" and "Southern Accents" magazines,
"The Wall Street Journal" and CNN, Newpoint has gained national
recognition.
As Newpoint neared completion, Bob managed the partnership of
Village Renaissance Inc. to develop an in-fill site for the Town of Port
Royal. As featured in "Architecture," "Builder" magazines,
the Village at Port Royal functions as an excellent example of how a Traditional
Neighborhood can support the needs of a diverse market with multiple uses.
In 1996, The Congress for New Urbanism selected the Village at Port Royal
and town of Port Royal's master plan as one of the top Ten Traditional Neighborhood
designs in the country.
Stephen Davis has developed several projects in the Greenwood area and commercial projects in Charleston. In his role as Project Engineer for Davis and Floyd Inc., a multi disciplined engineering firm; Stephen has worked with many developers throughout the state and has gained tremendous insight into the critical components of the development process. While working on projects in the Beaufort area such as Spring Island, Brays Island and Newpoint, Stephen has refined a keen sense for the environmental needs required for developing land in such a pristine region of the country. Through Stephen's environmental knowledge, the design of Habersham blends technological advances and natural environmental design to create a plan where man and nature can co-exist with minimal impact to the surrounding environment.
Bob's and Stephen's combined experience, their conviction to create
a special place that every resident will be proud to call home and their patience
to deliver the vision will make Habersham a wonderful place to live.
Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co. - Town Planners
In 1980 Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk opened a practice in the city of Miami. Among the firm's earliest projects was the regulating plan and building codes for the Town of Seaside, Florida. Since 1980 Duany and Plater-Zyberk and company (DPZ) have designed over 140 new towns and revitalization projects. Their designs and writings recreated the practice of Town Planning in the United States.
DPZ has received numerous awards including two state of Florida
Governor's Urban design awards for excellence. The Town of Seaside is
the first authentic New Town to be built successfully in the United State
since WWII. Time Magazine featured Seaside as one of the "Best of the Decade". The firm has been featured in other national media such as NBC news, ABC news as well as many publications including: "Time", "Newsweek", "The New York Times", "Washington Post", "Wall Street Journal" and
Major Professional Magazines.
The work of Duany & Plater-Zyberk begins with the recognition that design affects behavior. Duany & Plater-Zyberk
see the structure of function and of a community as interdependent systems.
Because of this they believe a designer's decision will permeate the
lives of residents; not just visually but in the way residents live. They
believe that design structures form relationships, quantitatively and qualitatively,
and that it is a sophisticated tool whose power exceeds its cosmic attributes.
Stephen Fuller - Architect
In a notable career, Stephen Fuller has received more than 40
awards of excellence for superior design, including three "Best in American Living" commendations
from the National Association of Home Builders. Professional accolades are
gratifying.
Just as meaningful. though, are the countless affirmations Steve hears from families who draw unending pleasure and comfort from his creativity. In a world populated with me-too inspirations, Stephen Fuller's instinctively fresh approach gives his designs noted personality.
With Stephen there's always a surprising newness, even in his respectful interpretations of long loved styles. Instead of expected corners, you'll see sunlight bathing open spaces. In place of rote predictability you'll find sensitive responses to family needs. And in every room, you'll spot the signature accents that underscore true quality. Through his community home designs, Stephen Fuller gives full expression to an abiding philosophy: that a home should live in harmony with its surroundings, and that tradition should live in harmony with time.
A Stephen Fuller home is more than a residence; it's a thoughtful balance between nature and man. It's a place where the best of the past coexists with the demands -- and opportunities -- of today. These are the secrets that open the door to livable, funcional style that is always elegant and distinctive.
Eric Moser- Moser Design Group Inc. - Architect
Moser Design Group, Inc. (MDG) has built a reputation as Designers
of fine custom residential architecture. Eric Moser, President of MDG, along
with a dedicated staff of professionals have designed over 800 homes throughout
the Southeast region over the past 17 years. A large number can be found
around MDG’s home base of Beaufort County, SC, and offer a wide range of
type from 600 square foot bungalows to 13,000 square foot ocean front estates.
Over time, this broad array has allowed the team at MDG to refine the craft
of place making whether it be their casual resort architecture on Hilton
Head Island or their finely detailed Traditional homes which embrace the
rich architectural heritage of the Low Country.
Eric's work has bridged a wide range from the casual elegant style of resort architecture predominant on Hilton Head Island to a more traditional form rooted in the heritage of the South. The homes incorporate Moser's special talent for integrating bright and flowing interiors into the whole.
Moser's designs introduce the exciting use of angles moving the eye from space to space. The result is always refreshing and unique.
The gauge of his success is the overwhelming number of clients
who, on completion of construction, have told him; "This is the house
we've always dreamed of."

Jim Strickland - Historical Concepts - Architect
As architects, planners and place-makers, Historical Concepts' mission is to enrich the built environment with the time honored principals of traditional architecture and planning. Our design philosophy embraces classical scale and proportion, vernacular ideology and historical precedent. Our core values foster excellence, teamwork, professionalism and continued self-growth.
Founded by James L. Strickland in 1982, Historical Concepts has a diverse body of work spanning a wide range of styles and regions. Strickland continues to guide the firm as its President and Senior Principal. Partners Terry Pylant, Aaron Daily and Andrew Cogar lead design teams hand-picked from the nation's top traditional architecture programs, while Managing Partner, Todd Strickland, oversees the firm's operations and finances.
Whether it is a small cottage, urban townhouse or large estate, the design teams at Historical Concepts begin each custom project by carefully studying both the site and the local architectural precedent to craft a home that respects and complements its surroundings. We meticulously weave the exterior and interior of each home until all elements work in concert, resulting in facades that are pleasing from each vantage point and floor plans that reflect the client's unique lifestyle. To complete the design, we thoroughly detail the construction documents, paying careful attention to every interior space and exterior element of the home. This level of detail creates value by reducing the need for interpretation during construction and ensuring the design is well executed.
Once the design is complete, we further serve our clients through an array of Construction Phase services. We can solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors and assist in identifying a builder that is best for the project. Furthermore, we can also consult with the builder and conduct site visits throughout the construction process to ensure the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction.
Keith Summerour - Summerour & Associates Architects - Architect

Today, with over forty employees, Summerour & Associates retains the family atmosphere of Keith’s original studio. In January 2005, Summerour Interiors was added to the team. Each associate brings his or her unique skills and experiences to the collaborative process. Locations include a main office in Atlanta, a refurbished former factory overlooking Atlantic Station, a second office on St. Simons Island, Georgia, and two additional studios in the mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina, and in the cradle of classicism, Florence, Italy.
